Prospective postdocs

Students who have completed the PhD or are within a few months of doing so should contact me directly about postdoctoral research opportunities. A strong background in computational approaches to problems in structural biology is absolutely essential. I particularly value applicants who combine this with some hands-on experience in an experimental laboratory.

I always ask prospective postdocs two questions:

1. What do you hope to accomplish while in my lab? This may relate to solving a problem of particular interest to you, or to the acquisition of specific skills. (In other words, why would you come to my lab rather than going somewhere else?)

2. What assets would you bring to my research program? (In other words, why should I hire you rather than someone else?)
